The cast includes David Walliams playing The Headmaster, Alan Davies playing The Porter, Haydn Gwynne as The Matron, and Mark Heap as Sir Quentin Strillers. I have so many words to share about: interiors; money-saving; decluttering; organising; DIY; family life and randomness. Elliot Hegarty is the director, whose past credits include David Walliams' Grandpa's Great Escape, Lovesick, The Middle and Blackish and series two of Bad Education. Both book and jacket are in fine condition; except for a small closed tear on the rear of the jacket.

Finally, among the children, there is a girl named Sally who makes the novel a bit more serious because she has cancer. By the talented the talented author, David Walliams, and outstanding illustrations by Tony Ross, this book has it all. Tom subsequently finds himself on the children’s ward of horrible St Hugo’s Hospital… And a part of the midnight gang! The Midnight Gang tells an extraordinarily heartwarming and, of course, funny story of five children on a hospital ward - and on a quest for adventure!Since the publication of his ground-breaking first novel, The Boy in the Dress (2008), Walliams has seen unprecedented growth with global sales exceeding 32 million copies, and his books translated into 53 languages. We use cookies to personalise content and ads, to provide social media features and to analyse our traffic. Tom wonders why he never hears from his parents, and now being a patient at the Lord Funt Hospital, why haven't they inquired about his accident and injury? Walliams on kuitenkin esikuvaansa kesympi ja sovinnaisempi, eikä uskalla loppuratkaisussa painaa kaasua ihan pohjaan, vaikka mahdollisuuksia siihen olisi ollut. Things go from bad to worse when he meets the wicked matron in charge of the children's ward… But Tom is about to embark on the most thrilling journey of a lifetime!

The clever use of fonts and text layout make it fun and easy to read as it is not too text heavy and is interspersed with expressive and funny illustrations. The fig tree is there, too, when war breaks out, when the capital is reduced to ashes and rubble, when the teenagers vanish. It deals with loneliness, friendship, parental abandonment, physical deformity, sickness and even death.

I thought the scene was rather funny and the way that they portrayed it with the doll was good as well. Common Sense Media's Mary Eisenhart said, "British author David Walliams is in top form with this imaginative, poignant, often crude, and frequently hilarious tale of kids stuck in a London hospital. David and Tony also collaborated on the 2017 World Book Day title, BLOB, and on the blockbuster collections, The World s Worst Children 1, 2 and 3. Children would put a tooth under their pillow for the tooth fairy, but in the morning they would wake up to find… a dead slug; a live spider; hundreds of earwigs creeping and crawling beneath their pillow. The matron at the hospital is really strict and mean and the other children sneak off every night at midnight.
